2017 GCT FUNDRAISER 

Ovarian cancer is the 5th-leading cause of cancer deaths and the most deadly form of gynaecologic cancer. Granulosa cell tumour (GCT) is a rare form of ovarian cancer representing about 5% of all ovarian cases. Other than surgery, there is no standard, effective treatment for GCT and it has been shown to recur up to 35 years after initial diagnosis. Add to that the fact that GCT can occur in any female, from newborn to elderly, and you can understand why we are so focused on finding a solution for women. In the past, the rare nature of the disease meant that little dedicated effort was put into researching GCT, and that was the impetus for creation of the Foundation back in 2004.
